Pantai Indah Kapuk has yet again earned a newcomer! This time it's called Ballonete and they've just opened like a week ago. Located in line with BC Cone, you won't miss it, since it's the only place with an eccentric front! They really stand out because of their unique structure and huge signage!
They have both smoking and non-smoking area, though both are in the same room, so I don't really see the purpose of it. The only difference is that the smoking area is more to the front, whereas the non-smoking is at the back, near the cashier. I personally prefer that they separate the 2 areas!

Just your everyday potato wedges..nothing really special about it! Well, I'm not expecting much anyway!
CRISPY PORK BELLY SALAD IDR 48K
The ultimate guilty pleasure of crispy pork belly, completed with apple and pear salad, dressed in marie rose sauce.
The salad here's pretty fresh but it's really too bad that the crispy pork belly was way too dry! The pork belly's really too dry that it even lost the pork flavor! I'm in shock, since the pork failed! :(
AGLIO E OLIO IDR 48K
Burn your appetite with this spicy garlic and butter prawn spaghetti, cooked with white wine to perfection.
I was a bit surprised when I first looked at the price! I think IDR 48K for pasta in Pantai Indah Kapuk area is really affordable but turns out, the price always speaks of the product, since the portion is really small! Don't think that it's even enough for me alone, good thing it tasted delicious!
BALLONETE'S CLUB SANDWICH IDR 48K
Triple the happiness of this sandwich with stack of chicken, bacon and egg, in our bbq sauce and mayonnaise.
The fries were terrific! That's all...lol! The sandwich was okay-ish, not bad but just okay. The bread was crispy with eggs and bacon in it. The menu said that it's supposed to also have chicken in it but I really can't find any! Is this a rip off?
BALLONETE'S CREAMY CHICKEN LINGUINE IDR 48K
Creamy and decadent linguine pasta tossed with herbs sprinkle, served with crispy fried chicken.
I guess the pasta here are all decent and the only problem lies on the portion, but that's what you get with IDR 48K. The cream was just right and not too overwhelming and they're also generous with the chicken, so it's all good!
SALMON ALMOND DUKKAH IDR 115K
Crispy outside skin of this mild Atlantic salmon fillet swimming on your plate with roasted carrot, tahini dressing, and almond dukkah.
Now THIS is the highlight today!! The salmon was cooked to perfection and even though I'm not a big fan of cooked salmon, this was still okay. I especially love how it tasted when eaten with the almond dukkah!
CHOCO FONDANT IDR 45K
The all time favorite melt-in-the-middle lava cake, comes with roasted pineapple and vanilla ice cream.
Really thankful for this compliment from the chef!! :D Trust me, this choco fondant is SUPER yummy!! Perfect melted chocolate even after the photo session! Another highlight is the slightly torched pineapple on top that gives a refreshing feel to the rich chocolate cake. Yum!!
For me the overall of this place is just okay, we might come back for the choco fondant but I can't say for the other dishes but I guess that's just how we are when it comes to the restaurants in Pantai Indah Kapuk. We don't really come back the 2nd time unless they have something really special! By the way, they also have a lounge and hookah bar at the 2nd floor if you're interested!
